Prerequisites

Minimum requirement

- Pentium 166MHz or higher

- 256+ MB RAM

- 20 MB hard disk space

Real time requirement: to run Gains# comfortably

- Pentium 866MHz or higher

- 512+ MB RAM

- Hard disk space depends on applications

Software - Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 or above

To check if it has been installed, see Start|Control Panel|Add or Remove Programs list.
Follow this link to install .Net Framework or click here to download the .Net Framework 2.0. Either way, follow the instruction to complete the installation.

Software - SAS ODBC Driver (if you intend to use SAS datasets)

To check if it has been installed, see Start|Control Panel|Add or Remove Programs list.
If when you try to import a SAS dataset in a new project, and get this error message, you will need to install this driver.
To install the driver

- First install Gains#

- Click "Start|All Programs|InfoDecipher|Gains#|Launch sasoledb.exe" to start the SAS OLE driver installation

- During the installation, make sure the box "Local, single-user, read-only raw data access" is checked

Note: At present time, the UNIX version and MAC version are not available
